A lower cabin altitude, a quieter cabin and the mood lighting feature all contribute to reduce jetlag and enhance customer experience.

Well - being

New features leading to an Xtra flight experience, contributing to passenger comfort and significant reduction of jetlag effect.

  • The air management systems help passengers to enjoy a more relaxing flight. Total cabin air is renewed every two to three minutes in a draft-free environment at the optimum temperature and with 20% more fresh air.
  • Passengers will not only feel the difference, but also see the difference with a full LED ambient lighting. The possibility to choose from 16.7 million colours allows airlines to create individual mood lighting ambiances to foster well-being for passengers through every phase of their flight. Lighting scenarios, mimicking natural sunrise and sunset help reduce the effects of jet-lag.
  • Lower cabin altitude (max 6,000 feet at cruise level vs 8,000 feet in aluminium fuselage aircraft)
  • Xtra quiet flights: The A350 XWB offers the quietest twin-aisle cabin in the sky, with 4 times less noise energy in premium class.

Comfort

Uniquely comfortable configuration

  • The widest seats of any jetliner in its category, with generous room in all classes. Comfortable 18” seat width (between armrests) at 9-abreast as standard in comfort Economy.
  • With no missing windows, passengers selecting a window seat will always benefit from the outside view provided by the larger panoramic windows as well as a fully dark cabin while sleeping.
  • Personal space is further increased by virtually invisible seat-connect boxes and cables that run entirely under a completely flat floor. The sidewalls are nearly vertical, providing more space at shoulder level to passengers with a window seat.
