3. It’s a fairy tale come true

6. It’s the capital of hygge and happiness

7. It’s the world’s premier bike city

On a daily basis, almost half of the inhabitants of Copenhagen ride a bicycle to work or school on a total of 454 km of designated bike lanes. But it’s not just a local thing: Visitors can also easily experience the city on one of the many rentable bikes, from a rickshaw taxi, or on a guided bike tour.

8. There’s clean water everywhere

Copenhagen has a swimmable harbour; unique for a metropolis of its size. Furthermore, the city is basically surrounded by water. Take a dip in the clean water, or enjoy a canal tour and experience the city from the waterside.

9. Shopping is a perfect mix of modern and traditional

Take a stroll down Europe's longest pedestrian street, Strøget, and enjoy the many shops and department stores, ranging from classics such as Royal Copenhagen to cutting-edge, minimalistic design and local craftsmen shops.
