Colours of Ostrava

This is a multi-genre music festival held annually in the city of Ostrava. Since 2012, the event has been held in the impressive surroundings of Dolní Vítkovice – the site of former blast furnaces, mines and ironworks.

Hrady CZ (Czech Castles)

This festival ranks among the largest cultural and social events in the Czech Republic. It takes place against the backdrop of attractive historical monuments.

Smetana‘s Litomyšl International Opera Festival

Febiofest

March and April

The International Film Festival Prague was founded in 1993 and has developed into one of the largest film festivals in the Czech Republic.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival

Velká pardubická with Česká pojišťovna

The Velká pardubická is a cross-country steeplechase held every second Sunday in October at the Pardubice Racecourse. This is the oldest and most difficult race in continental Europe.

Sokol Festival

July 2018

In 2018 the Czech Sokol Gymnastics organisation will hold its 26th national festival as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Czechoslovak State.
