OTT CEO joins female tech founders for New York trade mission

The introduction of a special advisory board and the opportunity to scale in the USA in 2020 are among the ideas being implemented at OTT following a special trade mission for female tech entrepreneurs to New York.
OTT’s founder Julia Feuell attended the UK Female Founders Mission - a three day trip which was organised as part of the Mayor of London’s International Business Growth Programme. OTT was selected to join the 12 month programme for companies considered to have high international growth potential which offers support through mentoring, targeted business advice and access to a network of contacts and potential investors.
The Female Founders Mission was organised by the British Consulate, Department for International Trade and encourages international expansion for tech businesses through promoting the skills of female founders of British tech companies. The mission was attended by 12 entrepreneurs at the forefront of tech innovation within a number of sectors including healthcare, travel, media, wellness and financial services.
The inspirational itinerary included meetings in the skyline with visits to the offices of Google and software solutions giant SAP and Mastercard, along with the opportunity for the formidable females to pitch their businesses to potential investors and New York corporate innovation programmes.
Julia said: “It was a privilege to be chosen to attend the Female Founders Trade Mission. I had the pleasure of networking with other very talented female CEOs using tech to innovate across a wide range of sectors. I also had the opportunity to learn from some of the giants of tech innovation in some of the Big Apple’s most iconic offices.”
“The Female Founders Mission was a real catalyst for growth and action for our group of talented businesswomen. At OTT, we are already embedding and implementing some of the ideas gained from fellow CEOs and the businesses and investors we met on the mission. We have already established a new Advisory Board to drive the business forward. We were also given the opportunity of meeting up with and making connections with investors, which will help break down the barriers to capital access for female entrepreneurs.”
“Since our return from the trip, there have been further conversations, partnerships formed and new opportunities identified. The mission was a real shared experience for the group – a network of innovative CEOs who will continue to support and encourage each other.”
