Julia Feuell
Managing Director, Online Travel Training

Julia is a forward thinking and creative entreprenuer and has twice been interviewed by BBC News 24 and has won Woman Entrepreneur of the Year at the Shine Awards. She has launched two very successful business, OTT & New Frontiers, and has been a significant figure within the travel and tourism industry for many years. Online Travel Training, is her current focus, launched in in 2008 to aggregate some product and destination training for the candidates of her travel recruitment agency, New Frontiers. Within months, companies were marketing their eLearning to over 5000 travel professionals. A course creation tool was developed and the business took off. In 2012, the business separated from New Frontiers and relaunched as OTT. After significant investment, the website was rebuilt to enable travel companies to translate their eLearning to reach 150,000's of agents globally. OTT has won 8 awards and is the clear market leader in the UK if not the world.

Ian is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with nearly 25 years experience in the travel business, A graduate in Business Information Technology, Ian started out in IT sales and then onto United Airlines progressing to Pan European Sales Manager before joining Discover to manage their blue chip clients. During his time with the company Ian has orchestrated online operations for air clients, championed new startup technology brands, re-branded Discover the World, managed the EMEA region and co-created Discover's bigblueroad.com digital marketing division.

Julia Lo Bue-Said

Julia became Managing Director of the Advantage Travel Centres group in July 2013, with responsibility for running the business on a day-to-day basis as well as developing the strategy and vision for the company.Having worked her way up to her current position, Julia has been at Advantage for 21 years. She has been an ITT board director since 2011, and in 2012 was inducted into the omen’s 1st Top 100 Club for Travel and Hospitality. With a sales turnover of approximately £4.5 billion and a diverse business model which incorporates membership of travel agents and travel management companies, an insurance company and insurance broker.

Liz Emmot

Liz joined Amadeus in 2016 as part of the senior management team and is responsible for delivering the technology company’s commercial strategy and leading its expanding new sales division. Liz’s role is designed to enable travel companies across the leisure and business sectors to achieve competitive advantage by deploying technology that drives productivity gains as well as growing revenues by adopting best practice travel retailing. Prior to joining Amadeus, Liz has held senior VP positions at American Express Europe across the payments, financial services, and corporate business travel sectors.

Cliff Findlay is the MD of Department 10, runs a successful peer-to-peer networking organisation in London, and is a published author and CEO of software company iTroduce. He has owned and managed his B2B marketing company for over 17 years, and before that he worked in advertising for 10 years on brands such as Hasbro, Ford, Hewlett Packard, and Ryanair. He is very hard hitting, doesn’t mix his words, has been known to swear, but all the time his focus is on providing the best advice to his clients to ensure they win the business they deserve.

Toby March
Head of Hospitality, Discover the World

Toby has 25 years experience in hospitality sales/marketing technology and distribution roles within brand leaders across Europe, the America’s and Asia. Toby leads the hospitality, car, and cruise vertical for Discover the World. Toby worked for Sabre for eight years, leading the global hotel/car distribution business and was subsequently responsible for sales and account management for the Sabre hospitality technology solutions business for North America. He worked in Asia for Sabre’s joint venture partner Abacus, responsible for the hotel, car, and leisure business. In Europe, Toby worked for Design Hotels AG running global sales, revenue management, and distribution. At Galileo International, he was responsible for launching RoomMaster and CarMaster products across markets outside of North America and in Paris, leading the hotel and car program and supplier management functions for Carlson Wagonlit. Toby is based in Dallas, holds a masters degree in marketing, is married with three children, and enjoys squash, rugby, skiing, and golf.

Irina Patterson

Irina Patterson is Head of Regional Sales Development at Europcar International. Her key focus is to establish Europcar in all global source markets as the No 1 car rental brand as well as helping the group of Europcar companies achieve its ambition to become a global mobility provider by 2020. Working for Europcar since 2009, Irina has previously held the position of Director Leisure Sales. Starting as a travel agent in the mid 90’s and having seen every aspect of this industry change tremendously over the last years, Irina has gained extensive experience in the travel industry over the past 2 decades.

Diego Pedrani
GM and Senior Director Global TAAP, Expedia

Diego Pedrani is currently the GM and Senior Director, Global TAAP. A seasoned marketing professional with nearly 20 years of experience, Diego has a wealth of knowledge as a travel executive. He has served at Expedia for 10+ years, starting as an analyst and then moving into business development. In addition to TAAP, he has led brand Expedia’s travel portal channel. As TAAP leader Diego has led the rollout of the program to 30+ countries across the globe and its re-platforming. Most recently, Diego was a Senior Consultant at Bain & Company in Milan. Diego earned his MBA from MIP and a degree in engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Adrian Parkes

Adrian joined the GTMC as chief executive in September 2017 and has over 20 years’ experience in the travel industry. Adrian was most recently Director of Product and Marketing for Clarity following the merger with Portman in 2016. Adrian’s experience also spans many years in the airline sector, including three years with Etihad and eleven years with bmi (British Midland) Prior to working in the travel industry, Adrian held senior sales and distribution roles in the crisp and snack industry. Adrian divides his time between London and his family in Derbyshire. Adrian is married with two sons and two grandsons.

Headquartered in Liss, Hampshire, Norad also has offices in Somerset,   Gloucestershire & Northern Ireland, and a network of associate International locations. Dominic Tucker
Head of UKI Sales Commercial, Norwegian Air UK Ltd

Dominic has worked in the airline industry for over 16 years across many sales, alliance distribution, and strategy roles. He joined BA in 2001 in Revenue Management, then for the next 14 years he moved across different departments in the commercial directorate in roles including; Alliances, Franchise Partners, Channel Strategy, and Key Account Management (both corporate and leisure). In June 2015 he joined Norwegian, managing their UK&I sales strategy where his focus has been on raising awareness of Norwegians’ routes and products in the UK. He is also working on network strategy to identify opportunities in the post Brexit marketplace, for Norwegian to deploy a lot of the large aircraft deliveries it has scheduled over the next 5 years. Dominic is a passionate airline person who believes honesty, consistency, approachability and a good network are key to achieving successful results in this competitive market.

Steve Byrne
CEO, Travel Counsellors

Travel Counsellors provides customised holiday and corporate travel packages to over 450,000 customers each year. It has 1,700 self-employed ‘travel counsellors’ offering tailor-made holidays and personalised travel service. It has exported its franchise model across seven countries, including Ireland, Australia and South Africa supported by its in-house quote and booking technology. It is investing £21m this year to further boost its digital capabilities. Steve, chief executive, joined in 2004 as managing director and was appointed to his current role last year. Prior to this, he was chief executive of International Travel Connections. He is a regular presenter and speaker at travel industry and business leader events and was most recently recognised for his ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’. Steve lives in Chester with his wife Rachel and three teenage daughters.

Sophie Griffiths

Sophie Griffiths joined Travel Trade Gazette in March 2010 as a news reporter, covering cruise, agents, interviews and industry analyses before being appointed news editor in March 2013. Since then Sophie has worked her way up to the position of editor, a role she took on in January 2017. She is also the founder of TTG LGBT - a network for LGBT people and allies within the travel industry - which launched in March 2015 and champions diversity within the sector.
