World Travel Market London looks to the future

With World Travel Market (WTM) returning to ExCeL London at the beginning of next month (November 7-9 2022) visitors and exhibitors are in for a treat with a fantastic line up of events.

More than 3,000 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance at this year’s event with more than 70 at the event for the first time. WTM London’s 2022 exhibition programme will not only bring together the global travel industry as it continues to recover from the pandemic, but will also feature a stellar conference programme of more than 70 sessions over four stages.

From Dragon’s Den to burnout, here are just a few of the programme highlights that we’ll be checking out at the show...

Opening day, November 7, 2022

Future Stage, 11am: The Landscape of Travel in 2030 and Beyond

Rohit Talwar, CEO, Fast Future, will join Simon Calder, Travel Journalist & Broadcaster, The Independent, Julia Simpson, President and CEO, World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and Peter Krüger, Member of the Executive Board, Chief Strategy Officer, TUI.

The panel of experts will discuss themes that could impact the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Sustainability Stage, 12pm: There is increasing awareness of global warming. How can businesses best respond and avoid greenwashing?

We are all aware of the growing concerns of climate change. A panel of travel experts will discuss how they have responded to increasing awareness among consumers of the damage caused by carbon emissions and their expectation that businesses will reduce emissions.

Day 2: November 8, 2022

Future Stage, 10.30am: Ministers’ Summit in association with UNWTO and WTTC – Rethinking Tourism

High profile leaders from the public and private sector will outline their visions and idea and discuss “What should the tourism sector of tomorrow look like? And how do we get there?”

Future Stage, 2pm: An Audience with Steven Bartlett…

A not to be missed event! Entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett will share extracts from his rapid rise to fame – and the creation of Social Chain, an award winning and innovative social marketing agency, disrupting the way global brands promote to future generations.

Day 3: November 9, 2022

AWTE Presents, 1.45pm: Burnout to Breakthrough and Beyond with Kelly Swingler

The Association of Women Travel Executives will present Kelly Swingler, leading motivational speaker, coach and author for core-led professional women
