Star Alliance launches second OTT online training course with prizes for participating agents

Star Alliance has once again teamed up with OTT to offer US-based travel professionals the opportunity to learn about the global airline network – and be in with a chance of winning air travel prizes and Amazon gift cards.

The new online course includes interactive training modules which help US travel professionals learn about the products, benefits and advantages provided by the Star Alliance network of 28 airlines, which offer more than 18,800 daily flights to 1,317 airports in 193 countries.

Patrick Khoury is the Senior Director Sales of Air Canada and Chairman of the US Country Steering Council of the Star Alliance member carriers. He says: “We first ran a joint competition with Online Travel Training as part of our 20th Anniversary activities in 2017. The very positive feedback received from the travel agent community not only lead us to continue to offer the online training, but to once again give those participating the chance to win a selection of prizes.”

Travel professionals need to complete all four modules of the course to be in with a chance of winning a prize. Go to www.onlinetraveltraining.com/free-courses/providers/star_alliance_us to take part. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course, which will automatically enter agents into the weekly prize draw. Prizes include 20 US$100 Amazon gift cards and complimentary air tickets on Avianca, Avianca Brasil, South African Airways and TAP Air Portugal. The competition runs until 5pm PDT on June 17, 2018 and the online training course will remain live after the competition closing date.

In addition to home carrier United, the United States is served by 24 Star Alliance member carriers: Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, Avianca, Avianca Brasil, Brussels Airlines, Copa Airlines, EGYPTAIR, Ethiopian Airlines, EVA Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, SWISS, TAP Air Portugal, THAI and Turkish Airlines.

Star Alliance member carriers provide easy access to all parts of the world from the US, in addition to United’s domestic network. They offer non-stop and direct services to Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Central America, Europe, Oceania and South America.
