OTT gurus and brands get a taste of magic at POP Awards

Every year, OTT’s POP Awards celebrates the platform’s most popular courses and the travel trade’s learned wizards – our ‘gurus’ from across the sector.

Travel professionals from around the globe spend thousands of minutes each year on OTT’s content rich courses, which are conjured up by destinations, hotels, airlines, visitor attractions and cruise brands. The results aren’t hocus pocus – OTT’s platform features a veritable box of tricks which measures each and every one of those minutes spent by agents polishing up their product knowledge.

Popular courses and OTT celebrated

The most popular courses for 2021 will be announced at the virtual award ceremony at The Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition at the London Film Museum, which has been opened up to provide a spellbinding backdrop for the awards, thanks to one popular OTT course, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Categories will include: Most Popular Airline, Destination, Accommodation, Attraction, Cruise courses, Most Popular Course Collection.

The POP Awards will also celebrate our ‘gurus’ - the global travel professionals who have honed their skills and knowledge to become true wizards within their specialisms. Our gurus have completed multiple courses in their category and, where possible, attended virtual or face to face events, attended FAM trips, or shown expertise in selling within their specialist category.

The event will celebrate gurus in the following sectors: OTT Tour Operator Guru, Leisure Guru, Business Travel Guru, Specialist Travel Guru, OTT Gurus have completed more than 100 courses, plus we’ll meet our OTT Legend – the travel professional who has completed the most courses.

Host Cassidy Janson brings her stage presence

The POP Awards will be presented by Olivier award winning musical theatre actress and singer Cassidy Janson at Harry Potter’s Photographic exhibition studios in Covent Garden. Cassidy won her award for a bewitching portrayal of Anne Hathaway in Max Martin’s debut musical ‘& Juliet’ at The Shaftesbury Theatre. Cassidy also played Carole King in Beautiful, at the Aldwych Theatre in London’s West End.

Adding a bit of Shazam to this year’s awards proceedings will be our trio of sponsors Atlantis The Palm, Gran Canaria and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
