OTT becomes first aggregator platform to sign up to B1G1 business for good programme

We’re proud to announce that OTT has become the first aggregator platform in the UK to sign up to business sustainability platform B1G1.

B1G1, Business for Good, encourages charitable giving towards certified programmes which meet Sustainable Development Goals set by global leaders. The platform helps devise a Giving Plan for each company that joins the programme with 100 per cent of all donations raised contributing towards certified projects which help tackle climate change and counteract poverty.

Ongoing projects supported by OTT include tree planting programmes and relief efforts supporting wildlife in areas affected by the Australian bushfires. OTT also supports programmes which reflect its own business goals - helping individuals across the globe to boost their knowledge, training and education.

OTT founder Julia Feuell said: “As we enter into a new decade, sustainability is, quite rightly, moving up the business agenda and becoming a much higher priority. Joining B1G1 will help OTT to make a positive impact by contributing to life-changing projects across the globe that reflect what we do. Education and training is our business, so the programme will link us to projects in this area which are making an impact within the developing world.”

“Through B1G1, OTT has already helped children in Indonesia to continue their education following an earthquake through provision of a pop up school. We’ve also supported an e-learning facility for a rural village in India as well as programmes which give access to training in sustainable farming methods.”

B1G1 enables businesses of all sizes to contribute towards life changing development and relief projects as well as programmes which will help tackle climate change.

Julia added: “As an aggregator platform for the travel trade, we’ll be incentivising both agents and partners to support projects which reflect OTT’s sustainability objectives – increasing access to education and improving our environment. As well as helping people in the developing world to access training and education, we can also incentivise agents in the UK and globally by encouraging our partner businesses across the travel trade - from airlines to hotels, destinations and tour operators to visitor attractions - to play their part by participating in projects which support their own sustainability objectives. Agents simply help by completing their courses”
