OTT agents score a massive 87 per cent course pass rate during Learning at Work Week.

The annual awareness initiative, which took place last week, was co-ordinated by national charity Campaign for Learning and put the spotlight firmly on the benefits of learning and development while at work. OTT joined forces with companies across the UK to celebrate the initiative. We teamed up with a number of our partners promoting 19 courses - from South Tyrol to Taiwan - with some fantastic prizes to be won by participating travel professionals.

The OTT community celebrated Learning at Work Week with a massive increase in the number of course completions and passes. Course starts were up 80 per cent with the number of course passes up a massive 130%. The pass rate for the week saw a 21 per cent rise from May 2017, up from 66 per cent to 87 per cent.

We also threw down the gauntlet to agents, challenging them to really grow their knowledge by completing all 19 highlighted Learning at Work Week courses in just seven days. Richard McDonnell from Flight Centre was the winner of a special OTT draw, winning a well earned video masterclass with TV chef Gordon Ramsay. 

In the OTT office, colleagues turned teachers for Learning at Work Week. MD Julia Feuell and Senior Account Manager Sarah-Lynne Rand got the team on their toes: Julia helped the team’s energy flow by teaching some Tai Chi moves, while Sarah-Lynne encouraged them to get in touch with their passionate side with some Salsa dancing.

 

Senior Account Manager Will Bickmore taught the paper craft of Origami. Will and the Team braved numerous potential papercuts during his demonstration on how to make an Origami dog. And thanks to his colleagues, the OTT office now boasts its own resident paper pooch pack.

Learning at Work Week has inspired our community of travel agents and this has been demonstrated in the massive increase in our course pass rate for the week. It’s been a real win for our community of travel professionals and for our supporting partners.

The OTT team has also enjoyed the opportunity to learn from each other. We’ve learned more about our colleagues’ different strengths and interests. This is something we’ll be carrying on throughout the year as we grow and develop our products.
