What's New In Okinawa

Makishi Public Market (near Kokusai Street, Naha)

Exciting news! The new Makishi Public Market opened on 19th March 2023.  For more information check out here

Katsuren Castle Ruins (Okinawa Main Island)

Located 1 hour by car from Naha airport, are the ruins of Katsuren-Jô site.  The Visitor Centre is now complete.  The building of the park in the surrounding area is in process along with work on a multi-language website and an audio-visual guide.

Karate

Ageshio Japan have resumed karate related tours conducted in English and will be launching new programs in the near future.  For more information, click here.

Monorail in Naha

Some interesting information to offer to you is the recently updated website for 'Mononavi Okinawa' by Yui Rail.  The revamped website will help international visitors to navigate themselves within Naha city and the vicinity.   Visit the website here.

NEW: Southwest Grand Hotel (Okinawa Main Island)

It will be the biggest hotel in Naha scheduled to open in June 2023. The hotel is situated in central Naha – 12 minutes by car from Naha airport and 9 minutes by foot from Makishi station.  It is close to Kokusai Street and the monorail station.  For more information, visit the website.
