Malaysia Airlines Partners with Conde Nast Traveller on New Inspirational Travel Podcast

London, 1 February 2021: Malaysia Airlines has partnered with Conde Nast Traveller for their latest episodes of The Escape Routes Podcast, in which the magazine’s writers and editors discuss the unique experiences that they have had across South East Asia.

Launched as travel restrictions remain in place for much of the world, this new series showcases destinations through the retelling of some of the magazine’s most popular travel stories, by the writers who penned them. Malaysia Airlines is the first airline that they have collaborated with.

In the three most recent episodes, contributing editor Timothy O’Grady talks about his time in Borneo, while UK editor Issy Von Simpson discusses her experiences on Koh Lanta in Thailand, and contributing editor Antonia Quirke speaks on her time in Ubud, Bali.

Thailand, Bali and Borneo are three of more than 150 countries that Malaysia Airlines flies to. It is now the only airline to fly non-stop from the UK to Malaysia before flying onward to these destinations, with plans to return to a daily flight service from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur by July 2021.

The Borneo podcast, presented by writer Tim O’ Grady can be listened to here.

The Ubud, Bali podcast, presented by contributing editor Antonia Quirke can be listened to here.

The Koh Lanta podcast, presented by UK editor Issy von Simson can be listened to here.

Daniel Bainbridge, Malaysia Airlines Regional Manager for UK & Europe, said;

“We hope that Malaysia Airline’s collaboration with the Escape Routes Podcast will inspire those listening, and remind them of the adventures that are out there to be had when Covid-19 travel restrictions lift. After the challenges of 2020, we look forward to welcoming our passengers back on board soon with warm Malaysian hospitality, for a well-earned holiday once border restrictions allow”.

Malaysia Airlines has recently received seven stars - full marks - from AirlineRatings.com in an independent review of its COVID-19 health and safety measures.

To take advantage of the airline’s great prices and outstanding Covid-19 safety record, guests can book their tickets at Malaysia Airlines’ participating travel agents or visit Malaysia Airlines’ website at www.malaysiaairlines.com
