Christmas lifts off at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Clients heading to Florida this festive period are in for a celestial treat at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
The attraction is decking the rockets for ‘Holidays in Space’ from December 15-30 and will feature a brand-new night-time projection mapping show – Starflake’s Holiday Voyage – on the outside of Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex.
The show will take guests on a six-minute-long journey through the stars, Earth and beyond and they will encounter festive roaming street performances by a singing duo and comedy act, helping spread the holiday cheer.
Festive decor includes astronaut nutcrackers
As guests make their way through the front gate, they will look in wonder at the festive holiday décor – including a 50ft tree illuminating the Rocket Garden and Gateway with more than 61,000 pixels, six-foot-tall astronaut nutcrackers and more.
“Our Holidays in Space celebration gets better and better each year and 2022 is no exception,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “It’s an exciting time for space exploration with NASA’s return to the Moon on the Artemis I mission, and our holiday season here is designed to share our pride and excitement for our newest attraction, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex.”
