Celebrate travel knowledge at OTT’s PoP Awards

OTT’s Pop Awards are back on March 26 - celebrating the most popular courses and our most knowledgeable agents.

Last year’s PoP Awards was the last live event to take place before the first lockdown began. While continued restrictions this year will mean our PoP Awards will be going virtual, we’re excited to announce that this year’s event will become OTT’s very first live broadcast.

Travel, fashion and lifestyle broadcaster Lisa Snowden will, once again, be returning as our host, for our annual awards which honour the most popular courses, from airlines to cruises, destinations and tourist attractions to hotels. The event is supported by our headline partners Malaysia Airlines and Gran Canaria as well as Travel.Radio and Brimstone Hotel.

Thomson & Scott will be serving at the “virtual bar” with organic and vegan alcoholic and non-alcoholic Prosecco and alcohol-free sparkling Chardonnay which are produced with almost half the sugar content of traditional bottles.

Travel.Radio - the dedicated radio station for travel professionals - will be broadcasting with presenter Leo Jones hosting the warm up hour from 3.30pm before the awards go live at 4.30pm.

Your chance to become a 'destination detective'

Keep checking OTT’s blog and social media channels for updates on the event over the next few weeks. We’ll be announcing the shortlist of OTT’s popular courses and category finalists a week before the event. Plus, look out for more information on how you can become a ‘destination detective’ - identify our mystery venue and you could be in with a chance of winning a fabulous on-the-night prize.

While 2020 may have been the travel industry’s most difficult year, OTT and our sponsors look forward to celebrating the knowledge and engagement which has continued to grow between travel brands and travel agents throughout last year and into 2021.

The PoP Awards will celebrate the courses which have achieved new records in terms of pass rates and brand attention minutes. While lockdown has curtailed travel, it certainly hasn’t restricted the appetite for agents to grow their knowledge online, ready for the return of domestic and international travel.
