Cape Town ranked among greatest cities on the planet

Cape Town has been ranked among the top three cities on the earth to visit according to the Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper's survey assessed cities on multiple metrics, ranking South Africa’s second biggest city in third place. Cape Town’s position sensational topography and geography where the primary reasons for its podium position.
The Telegraph also cited the city’s means beaches, mountains, hiking trails and animal encounters on your doorstep as top reasons to visit. An impressive range of world-class food and wine, arts, culture and nightlife added to its top three status. Cape Town was the only African city to make the list.
Accolade "brings home how special our city is"
Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth at the City of Cape Town said the survey result demonstrated the city’s commitment to showcasing its major attractions. “It’s accolades like this that really bring home just how special our city is! They firmly entrench what we all know: Cape Town is a best-in-class destination that offers unparalleled beauty, culture, and creativity. We’ve seen a positive increase in visitor recovery numbers – international and domestic arrivals – over the last few months. This positive news is the result of targeted and effective campaigns and strategies implemented by the City and Cape Town Tourism that capture the variety of our destination and we will continue working hard to ensure we reach greater heights. We’re sure this will be a wonderful catalyst to continue this trajectory.”
Enver Duminy, CEO of Cape Town Tourism confirmed that the city had been working hard behind the scenes to build on its success and increase visitor numbers. “We’ve been working hard to play our part in this as well.
