Welcome to the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Online Training
Hamburg-based Hapag-Lloyd Cruises – a subsidiary of the TUI Group – is renowned as one of Germany’s foremost providers of both luxury and expedition cruises, currently with a fleet of four ships, each with their own individual personality.
With the luxury EUROPA and EUROPA 2 and expedition ships HANSEATIC and BREMEN, the cruise line has succeeded in building a reputation for operating ships, which are outstanding in their class and offering the very highest standards of hospitality. In recent years, however, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has also been focusing marketing and sales efforts strongly towards attracting more English-speaking guests. The 500-guest, contemporary EUROPA 2, launched May 2013, was built for the international marketplace, with bilingual officers and crew on board.
Currently expanding its fleet and developing its role in the expedition segment, two, small new-builds are now under construction, both vessels to be positioned in the 5-star expedition segment, one HANSEATIC inspiration will serve the English-speaking markets.
Reinforcing the success story of today’s existing HANSEATIC and retaining the well-known brand name, HANSEATIC nature will be operated for the German market only and launch in April 2019; followed shortly by the HANSEATIC inspiration coming into service in October 2019. Both ships will be identical in structure, each with a capacity of 230 guests (199 on Antarctica cruises). They will be fitted with cutting-edge equipment and environmental technology.
