Winter is not quite over yet. According to surveys, many British holidaymakers still plan a break in the snow in the coming months. And Austria is the perfect place to hit the slopes in spring. Sunshine skiing and slow paced leisure activities such as winter hiking and cross-country skiing await - and snow conditions are excellent up until early May.
And there's more good news: Austria is easing its Covid rules, making skiing trips to the Alps even more enjoyable:
Since Saturday, the "2-G" rule in Austria was replaced by the "3-G" rule (twice vaccinated, boostered, recovered or tested) (exception: Vienna).
From tomorrow, 22 February the "3-G" rule will also apply to entering Austria (twice vaccinated, boostered, recovered OR tested (PCR valid 72 hours or LFT valid 24 hours), meaning those double-jabbed but not yet boostered (e.g. teenagers) no longer need a PCR test.
From 5 March, almost all Covid measures will be lifted (details tbc).
